Personally, I do not see a problem with Google linking Google+ pages to their search results. As Google+ is a product of Google, it only makes sense for the two products to go hand in hand, which is something users of both websites should understand.
As a highly dominant website, Google strives to make their services as relevant and helpful as possible. By signing up for a Google+ account, each user should be aware of their privacy settings, and realise the benefits of putting their information on the internet.
Overall, linking the two sites allows others to rediscover your information, while having restricted access to private posts and social settings.
